Dr. G. R. Abhijith is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur, specializing in water quality management and hydraulic modeling. He holds a B.Tech from the College of Engineering Trivandrum and an M.Tech from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur, where he graduated with a gold medal. He completed his Ph.D. at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, focusing on intermittent water distribution networks. Dr. Abhijith's research includes water quality risks, cost-effective water treatment alternatives, and innovative solutions for water distribution systems. His postdoctoral work at Technion – -Israel Institute of Technology emphasized advanced modeling tools for water systems. He is an active member of professional bodies, including the ASCE’s WDSA Committee, and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management.
