Dr. Alex Sanchez is a Senior Hydraulic Engineer in the Hydraulics Division of the Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) and sits in Davis, CA. Alex has a BS in Oceanography, an MS in Ocean and Resources Engineering, and a PhD in Computational Hydroscience. Alex started his career at the Engineer Research and Development Center Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) in Vicksburg MS. While at CHL, he was a developer and team lead of the Coastal Modeling System. At HEC, he as worked with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS teams as a software developer working on features including 2D hydraulics and sediment transport.
