Specialist Hydraulic Engineer

Yong Lai is a specialist hydraulic engineer at the Technical Service Center, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Denver, Colorado. Dr. Lai obtained his Ph.D. in 1990 at the Arizona State University. He has since been involved in a wide spectrum of research, development and engineering projects. Prior to joining Reclamation in 2003, his professional career includes working for consulting companies, a research institute, and IIHR - Hydroscience and Engineering, the University of Iowa. Dr. Lai has published more than 60 journal papers and hundreds of full conference papers in diverse engineering disciplines. Dr. Lai currently serves as an associate editor of the ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering and a member of Scientific Advisory Board for several international conferences.
