Zach is currently a 2nd year postdoctoral associate at Cornell University in the department of Biological and Environmental Engineering. He received his PhD from Cornell in 2023 in Environmental and Water Resources Systems Engineering. Prior to starting his PhD in 2018, Zach spent 13 years in the active-duty Air Force as an officer and F-16 pilot. His work has broadly centered around hydroclimate uncertainty modeling with an emphasis on developing operationally implementable strategies for real-world efforts such as the Forecast Informed Reservoir Operations (FIRO).
