Dr. Lynne Trabachino is an atmospheric scientist with expertise in remote sensing, atmospheric physics, and weather/climate model evaluation. After earning a BS in Physics at Rutgers College, she was a systems engineer at Lockheed Martin where she provided specialized support for large government contracts related to national, civil, and commercial satellite remote sensing applications. While earning her PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at Rutgers University, she supported activities of the Department of Energy’s Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Mobile Facility Site Science Team during international deployments of state-of-the-art atmospheric sensing systems designed to provide observational data sets oriented toward answering basic questions about cloud physics and radiation transfer. Dr. Trabachino recently served as the Associate Director of the Institute of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Rutgers University and Senior Director of Quantitative Analytics at The Demex Group before joining RTI International as a Research Environmental Scientist on the NOAA Atlas 15 project.
