Dr. Vasconcelos is a professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Auburn University. His research interests include fluid mechanics, urban water systems, and headwater hydrology, where he applies computational hydraulics tools, physical models, and field investigations. He is a member of different technical committees within ASCE-EWRI and serves as an associated editor for the ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, among other technical publications.
