Graduate Research Assistant
University of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
Mohamed Mowafy is a graduate research assistant while working towards a PhD degree under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Ray as a member of the Cincinnati Water Systems Analysis group at University of Cincinnati. He works on climate risk informed decision analysis studies where water systems are stress-tested using different climate scenarios to assess their vulnerabilities and identify the needed adaptation. Also, his work explores the utilization of ENSO information as an input to reservoir operations. Before getting into graduate school at the University of Cincinnati, Mohamed received a Fulbright Award to pursue an M.S. in water resources engineering at the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) in Syracuse, NY. His research work focused on developing graphical frameworks to evaluate hydrologic alteration for streams.
