Nabila Khandaker is a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). With over six years of combined experience in industry, research, and academia, she has developed expertise in environmental health, remote sensing, water resources engineering, and sediment transport. Ms. Khandaker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She later earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health from Tufts University, USA. Before joining UTA in 2022, she worked on various hydrological projects in Bangladesh, where she played a key role in the development of GeoSWMM, a hydrological modeling software. In addition to her research pursuits, Ms. Khandaker has made significant contributions to academia through her teaching experience. She has taught undergraduate courses in Fluid Mechanics and Environmental Engineering, imparting fundamental knowledge and practical insights to future engineers.
