Achira Amur is a Postdoctoral researcher at Villanova University with experience in water resources, stormwater management and rainfall characteristics. Through her Postdoctoral research she is working on projects exploring the intersection of community and water resource management, with an emphasis on enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. She completed her Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at Villanova University, studying the long-term performance of rain gardens and the predictability of their performance. Prior to pursuing her PhD., she has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University with a concentration in Water Resources and Environmental Modelling.
