Dr. Mahoney's expertise lies in monitoring and modeling of hydrologic processes and water quality at the watershed scale. Dr. Mahoney focuses on investigating the provenance of non-point source pollutants, including soil and sediment, within stream networks. Dr. Mahoney also applies process-based hydrologic models to investigate the spatiotemporal variation in streamflow expansion and contraction in headwater stream networks.
