Connie Bird has been with the Philadelphia Water Department for over a decade. In her role as the GSI Planning Manager, she manages a team of planners who are responsible for identifying public retrofit GSI projects to meet the goals of Philadelphia’s 25-year Green City, Clean Waters plan. Connie also manages the Ecological Restoration Planning group which identifies stream restoration projects that restore ecosystem functions and protect critical infrastructure in the stream corridor. She received her Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and her Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
