Mahsa Adib is a Ph.D. candidate in Landscape Architecture at Penn State. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) from Iowa State University. She is an active member of the Penn State Stormwater Living Lab, a research lab pioneering research and innovation in green stormwater infrastructure (GSI). Additionally, as a member of the Hamer Center for Community Design, the outreach and research arm of Penn State’s Stuckeman School, I contribute to advancing community-driven design solutions. Recognizing stormwater runoff as a significant environmental issue, her research investigates the social, psychological, and contextual factors influencing residents’ willingness to implement GSI on public and private properties. Her work aims to inform policies and programs that enhance equitable access to sustainable water solutions, bridging the gap between technical knowledge and community engagement.
