: Dr. Somayeh Asadi is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Virginia. Prior to this role, she served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Asadi is also a U.S. Fulbright Fellow and holds editorial positions, including Assistant and Associate Editor for several prestigious journals such as the ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, Journal of Engineering, Construction, and Architectural Management, and IEEE Access. Her research expertise spans sustainable building and the built environment, building and transportation electrification, equity in the energy transition, and the application of big data in sustainability. Dr. Asadi’s work has led to the publication of over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 10 book chapters, six books, and over 60 peer-reviewed conference papers.
