Kshitij Dahal is a Ph.D. student in Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering at Arizona State University. He focuses on developing decision-support systems for regional risk assessment and management. Kshitij uses explainable machine and deep learning methods combined with Earth observations to study hydro-climatic extremes and water resources. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. At Arizona State University, he works as a Graduate Research Associate and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Kshitij has also conducted research at the Himalayan Risk Research Institute, Nepal and taught as an Assistant Lecturer at Khwopa College of Engineering, Trihbuvan University. He has received several awards from the American Geophysical Union and other organizations. Kshitij has published numerous articles on sustainable development, groundwater mapping, and landslide assessments. He is dedicated to using advanced technologies and interdisciplinary approaches to solve important environmental challenges.
