Dr. John Schwartz is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Director of the Tennessee Watershed Resources Research center. He has been at the University of Tennessee since 2003. He earned his PhD in Environmental engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2002. Prior to earning his PhD, work experience includes engineering consulting, regulatory compliance with the USEPA, and a project engineer in the US Peace Corps.
