Steve has more than 35 years of experience in the environmental arena. His previous experience includes wastewater operations and maintenance in Jefferson County, Alabama, and U.S.-Mexico border environmental management for 26 years at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, where he was the agency’s liaison with Mexican local, state, and federal agencies. He represented the State of Texas on the Good Neighbor Environmental Board, an advisory board to the President and Congress on U.S.-Mexico border environmental and infrastructure issues. He holds a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin (LBJ School of Public Affairs) and is a registered professional engineer in Alabama and Texas. He currently chairs the Standards Development Council of the Environment and Water Institute of ASCE and sits on the Codes and Standards Committee of ASCE.
