Dr. Fang is a full professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and has worked at Auburn University since August 2007. Dr. Fang also has twelve-year research and teaching experience in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Lamar University (Texas State University System) at Beaumont, Texas (1995 – 2007). Dr. Fang received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1994 (St. Anthony Falls Laboratory in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo-Engineering).
Dr. Fang has published 132 peer-reviewed journal articles, 7 book chapters, 6 entries in "Encyclopedia of Water," 4 invited journal papers, 68 conference papers, and 68 project reports in the area of environmental hydrodynamics, ecological modeling, and water resources engineering (hydraulics and hydrology).
