Dr. Joseph E. Quansah is an Associate Professor, the Director of the Geospatial and Climate Change Center, and the Director for the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Engineering PhD program at Tuskegee University. Dr. Quansah teaches several courses including Remote Sensing, Hydrology, Soil Genesis, Agricultural Informatics etc.
His research and extension activities focus on hydrology/water quality modeling, climate change, remote sensing, climate smart agriculture, geospatial and data science, precision and digital agriculture, artificial intelligence and machine learning in satellite image processing. Dr. Quansah received his Ph.D. in Agricultural & Biological Engineering and MSE in Civil Engineering, both from Purdue University. His BSc is in Geomatics Engineering, from KNUST, and a Graduate Certificate in Earth Observation from KU Leuven, Belgium. In the past, Dr. Quansah worked at Purdue University as a Post Doc and at the USGS as a Research Hydrologist.
