Damodar Poudyal is pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at South Dakota Mines, USA. His research focuses on sustainable solutions, including PFAS removal using Prefilter and Granular Activated Carbon systems, optimizing passive pilot-scale treatment systems, and analyzing temporal landcover changes in prairie stream riparian areas of Northwest South Dakota. Mr. Poudyal holds an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from South Dakota Mines (2022) and a BS in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal (2017). He is a licensed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) professional and actively participates in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE Student Chapter) and the Mentoring Institute for Sediment Transport Researchers (MIST). Mr. Poudyal is also a member of the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC).
