Dr. Daniel Owens is an Assistant Professor at the South Dakota Mines. Dr. Owens earned his Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on Molecular Cellular Biology and Biotechnology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2005, following his B.S. in Biochemistry from East Tennessee State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999.
