Dr. Mark Christian is a Technology Leader at EPRI responsible for managing and performing research related to modernizing hydropower plant and maximizing system performance. He leads hydropower research including Hydropower Climate Change Impacts, Advanced Manufacturing Opportunities, Sensor Deployment Benchmarking, and Plant Modernization. He manages the creation and industry uptake of a web based optimization engine used to improve the performance of hydropower plant dispatch. He is currently the manager of EPRI’s investigation into the effects of climate change on hydropower assets, coordinating engagement across multiple utilities and energy sector organizations.
