Postdoctoral Research Fellow
University of South Carolina, United States
Dr. Ezzat Elalfy is working as Postdoctoral Fellow at University of South Carolina (USC), USA, Associate Professor, Dept. of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering, Ain Shams Univ., Cairo, Egypt. His main area of expertise extends over a decade in Computational Hydraulics. He developed 1D and 2D numerical models of free surface flows and sediment transport in open channels. The developed models are adequately applied to the overtopping failure of earthen dams and levees. Dr. Elalfy taught most of Water Resources courses (Fluid Mechanics – Hydraulics -Design of irrigation works - Irrigation and drainage engineering - Dams Engineering) in many different universities in Egypt including the American University in Cairo.
