Tony Melcher is a water resources and hydraulic engineer with expertise in the fields of 1D, 2D, and 3D numerical hydraulic modeling, hydrologic analysis, and stormwater monitoring and modeling. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Utah State University and has since worked as a modeler and environmental software developer. Tony joined Jacobs 2.5 years ago, where he has focused on the modeling of hydraulic transients in piped systems and computational fluid dynamics. His projects include the analysis of pump stations, wastewater and water treatment facilities, water distribution networks, stormwater networks, and riverine hydraulics for flood analysis and bridge scour.
