Alex Lai, P.E., B.S., MSc., is a Senior hydrotechnical engineer with Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. which operates the 800 mile Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). He is responsible for drainage, flood control, and the integrity of TAPS at stream and floodplain crossings from Prudhoe Bay to the Port of Valdez. Alex has been in his current position for over 20 years.
