Claudio Sandoval, M.Sc. Student with major in Hydraulic Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). As part of my master’s thesis, I am developing a guideline for selecting daily-to-hourly precipitation disaggregation methods, focusing on their ability to accurately replicate extreme precipitation events. Additionally, I hold a research scholarship at the Centro de Investigación para la Gestión Integrada de Desastres Naturales (CIGIDEN), where I am investigating the impacts of climate change on the hydrological regime of the Marga-Marga River Basin, Chile. My research interests include hydrology, urban hydrology, stochastic hydrology, hydrological modeling, and climate change.
