Dr. Dong Chen is a Professor of Civil Engineering and the Director of the SEM Lab at Purdue University Fort Wayne. He joined the university in 2009. He received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He is a registered PE in the State of Ohio.

Dr. Chen’s research areas include membrane filtration for water and wastewater treatment, water chemistry, nano materials and corrosion science. His research projects were funded by National Science Foundation, US Army Engineer Research & Development Center, US Geological Survey, Indiana Water Resources Research Center, and Purdue Research Foundation.
