Dr. Yi Liu obtained his B.Eng. in 1985 and M.Eng. in 1988 from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan and Beijing, respectively) and D.Eng. in 2006 from Morgan State University. His concentrations of D.Eng. program in Civil Engineering are Geotechnical Engineering and Hydrology/Hydraulic/Water Resources Engineering. His research interests and expertise include land subsidence, sea level rise and headwater change with global warming, geotechnical engineering and groundwater hydrology.
