Sara Criollo is a PhD student in Engineering at the Universidad de los Andes. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master's in Civil Engineering, specializing in sustainable management of water resources and hydrosystems. Sara also has a specialization in Land Management and Planning. With experience as a university lecturer, she has taught courses in Channel Hydraulics and Sustainability. Her research focuses on unconventional sewer systems and optimization of sewer networks. Currently, she is on an internship at Aalborg University, where she is conducting the experimental phase of her research on microplastics in drinking water.
