He teaches courses in the area of hydraulic resources and environmental modeling. His passion lies in studying the hydraulics, hydrodynamics, and water quality of mountain and alluvial rivers, as well as shallow water bodies and reservoirs in Colombia. Since 2000, he has focused on modeling the water quality of the Bogotá River, urban rivers in Bogotá, and mountain rivers like the Magdalena, Teusacá, Subachoque, and Lenguazaque. His work spans supervising research work on solute transport and contributing to hydrodynamic projects that address water availability and pollution in Colombia.
