Post-doctoral Researcher
Florida International University, Florida, United States
Pratik is pursuing a PhD in mechanical engineering from Florida International University since 2020 to 2024. He has completed his bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Aeronautical Society of India in 2013. He went to Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to pursue Master in Aerospace Propulsion, where he worked on non-reacting spray study using PIV and experimental study on reacting spray for flame lift-off, for his master thesis. Pratik has worked on problems which involved flow physics such as highly swirling reacting flow, multiphase flow and conjugate heat transfer. Pratik also have major contribution in developing CFD strategies for various problems, Meshing strategies for complex geometries and various scripts for detail post processing for Honeywell. He has developed python tool to automate various CAD operations using NXOpen and proposed a novel technique to integrate it with meshing tool for robustness.
