Salim Lossindilo is a civil-environmental engineer with over 15 years of experience specializing in water supply systems, wastewater management, and sustainable sanitation solutions. He holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam and a M.Sc. in Project Planning and Management; he has contributed extensively to Tanzania’s water and sanitation sectors. His expertise spans key roles with urban water authorities, where he honed skills in wastewater management, project design, and operations. With extensive experience across Tanzanian Water and Sanitation Authorities, he serves as Director of Water Supply and Sanitation Management for Mwanza Water Supply and Sanitation Authority. Salim is known for his expertise in designing and managing water and sanitation infrastructure projects to improve sustainability and efficiency. He is pursuing a Master of Technology in Drinking Water and Sanitation at IIT Roorkee, India. His research on Nature-Based Solutions for wastewater treatment in Hilly Areas of Mwanza City aims to develop eco-friendly, cost-effective systems for wastewater management. Salim remains dedicated to advancing sustainable engineering solutions through research and innovation.
