Sarah will be completing her M.S. in Environmental Engineering at Ohio State University in May 2025. Her coursework includes: wetland ecology; stormwater infrastructure; open channel hydraulics; stream geomorphology; hydrogeology; water resources; and ecological engineering. Her M.S. thesis focused on quantifying treatment effectiveness of a riverine flow-through wetland in the floodplain of a tributary to the Ohio River. In addition to empirical water quality and hydrology data, her research leveraged H&H modeling (e.g. HECRAS 2D) to quantify nutrient loads being treated by the hydraulically and hydrologically complex wetland which receives large volumes of storm water from a predominantly agricultural watershed.
