Jian-Ping Suen is a professor of the Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering Department at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), TAIWAN. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005. In 2006, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Biodiversity Research Center, Academia Sinica. That same year, he joined NCKU and is pursuing his academic interests in integrating ecology with hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and geomorphology. Currently, he works on various projects within interdisciplinary areas, including fish sampling and habitat survey, environmental flows, ecological water resources management, environmental systems analysis, stream ecosystems, hyporheic water, and environmental DNA.
