Dr. Soares is an Associate Professor at the University of Brasilia with a Ph.D. in Hydraulic and Sanitation Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP). His research focuses on water distribution systems, hydraulic transients, and water resources optimization. He has postdoctoral experience from USP and the University of Lisbon. Currently, he serves as president of the Brazilian Association of Water Resources (2024-2025).
