Dr. Debraj Bhattacharyya is a full-time professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and an adjunct professor in the Department of Climate Change at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Dr. Bhattacharyya has profound research experience of more than 15 years in the areas of wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Dr. Bhattacharyya is currently working on developing microalgal-bacterial hybrid systems for wastewater treatment and novel green solvents for lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment for resource recovery. Dr. Bhattacharyya has several peer-reviewed publications in internationally reputed journals in the area of wastewater treatment and renewable energy. He has also served as a task force member of the state pollution control board in India. He is also an associate editor of a reputed international journal.
