Dr. Jeppe (pronounced Yebbe) Kjaersgaard is a research scientist with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and an Adjunct Professor at South Dakota State University. He researches agricultural soil and water conservation and management. Recent or current projects include studies of water quality impacts of subsurface (tile) drainage and surface runoff, nutrient and water management, estimation of crop consumptive water use, and the use of geospatial technologies to estimate the hydrological impacts of agricultural management practices, such as the use of cover crops and tile drainage.
