Abstract Submission: In response to the increasing frequency of natural and human-made disasters in Southeast Texas, Lamar University established the Center for Resiliency in 2021. A robust decision-making framework is now more critical than ever for this Regional Interdisciplinary Resiliency Center to make informed choices, prioritize funding, and foster collaboration across various disciplines, ultimately supporting vulnerable communities. This paper introduces a methodology that integrates VOSviewer and Google Trends to develop a decision-making tool tailored for the Center. Four key resilience areas were identified: "Climate Stressors and Disasters, Mental Wellness, Energy and Optimization, and Resilience Planning." These findings were validated using real-time data from Google Trends to capture the evolving dynamics of resilience. Additionally, the paper highlights research efforts at the Lamar University Center for Resiliency, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing resilience through initiatives spanning five academic colleges. The integration of VOSviewer and Google Trends offers a solid framework for aligning research with the current and future resilience needs of Southeast Texas.
