Dr. Jagadish Torlapati is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan University and Lead for Environmental Engineering Division at the Center for Research & Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems (CREATES). Dr. Torlapati’s primary research interests include cold regions research, water quality, air quality monitoring and simulation, coastal resilience, bioremediation, and shoreline response for oil spills. Dr. Torlapati is currently leading several projects in the Arctic assessing the impact of permafrost thaw on the Arctic ecosystems. Dr. Torlapati has also developed numerical models that simulate the fate and transport of oil droplets during oil spills, and bioremediation. He teaches courses related to environmental engineering, water resources and stormwater management.
