Asim Paudel is a Ph.D. student in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His ongoing research focuses on radar rainfall bias correction for the east coast of Texas. Additionally, he has worked on assessing dams in Houston, studying seasonal changes in hydraulic parameters, and developing RAS-SONIC, an extension program for HEC-RAS 2D to aid in auto-calibration. His primary research interests include hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using real-time data to support pseudo real-time flash flood prediction.
