Dr. Sriman Pankaj Boindala is an expert in water resource management, with a focus on optimizing water distribution systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where his research pioneered methods for robust optimization and the inclusion of uncertainties in multi-quality water systems.
Currently, as part of the ERC Synergy Grant 'Water Futures' project at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, Dr. Boindala is developing equitable frameworks for the design and operation of future water distribution systems. His interdisciplinary work integrates computational techniques, optimization algorithms, and water resource engineering to address global challenges in water supply equity and sustainability.
Dr. Boindala has authored numerous high-impact journal articles and conference proceedings, earning accolades such as the Best Paper Award at the First International Conference on Recent Advancements in Civil Engineering (2021). He is also an active peer reviewer and an associate editor for esteemed journals in his field. With a commitment to advancing sustainable engineering, Dr. Boindala's work empowers communities worldwide to manage water resources effectively, fostering resilience and inclusivity.
