Felipe Ulloa Henriquez is a third-year Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California Davis in the Hydrology Research Laboratory. He worked as a project engineer in Chile for two years, designing channels and gates for irrigation. Felipe got his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with distinction from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. His current research looks for the connections between large-scale atmospheric processes and droughts in North California. His research interests lie in hydrology modeling, atmospheric modeling, time series analysis, and heavy-tailed processes, and he is always looking to learn about new problems and technologies.
