Claire Cropper received her Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and is currently a PhD student at Arizona State University in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment. Before returning to school for a graduate degree, she worked as a civil engineer here in Alaska with HDL Engineering Consultants, primarily working with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) on water and wastewater projects in rural Alaska Native communities.
Claire's current research includes water security in colonias communities with Arizona Water for All as well as researching the fate and transport of menstrual hormones in residential wastewater systems. This research is funded by the National Science Foundation through the NSF GRFP, and she is appreciative of their support, along with the many professionals who assisted in securing funding.
