Andrea Cominola is Assistant Professor and director of the Smart Water Networks Lab at the Einstein Center Digital Future and Technische Universität Berlin. In early 2017 he received a PhD in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano. Dr. Cominola’s research focuses on urban water and energy demand modelling and management, leakage and anomaly detection, behavioral modelling, data mining, and machine learning for water and coupled human-environment systems analysis. He is author of more than 100 scientific contributions in peer-reviewed international journals, books, and international conferences. Since May 2021 he is the elected Chair of the HS5 subdivision on Water policy, management and control at the European Geosciences Union (EGU). He serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management, Water Resources Research, and npj Clean Water and is a reviewer for several international journals, organizations, and institutions.
