He is an Associate Professor at University of North Georgia. He worked as a Product Engineer at esri and data scientist (geo-spatial) at Bayer Crop Science (formally Monsanto Company) before starting academic career at UNG in 2019. He has scientific expertise that includes spatio-temporal modeling and mapping of environmental contaminants, exposure analysis and human health risk assessment, temporal GIS, and machine learning applications in agriculture. Dr. Jat has research collaboration with the UNC-BMElab research group at the University of North Carolina, which is dedicated to the numerical development of the Bayesian Maximum Entropy (BME) Method of modern Geostatistics, and its worldwide application to exposure, disease and risk mapping.
