John Barton

Dr. John Barton is a Principal Engineer with the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. He currently leads the flow monitoring, hydraulic modeling, and system optimization work as part of Cincinnati's groundbreaking Smart Sewer System. His PhD is in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He has been involved with the practical engineering details of flow monitoring, I/I and hydraulic modeling for over 26 years. He holds two patents in low flow monitoring, and has published or presented more than 75 papers at conferences and training seminars.
