Assistant Professor
Iowa State University, Iowa, United States
I am an assistant professor in geotechnical engineering, a licensed professional engineer in the Dominican Republic, and I teach courses related to foundations, mechanics of materials, and introduction to geotechnical engineering. I have been working in Geotechnical research for 8 years and in the civil engineering field for 14 years. I am passionate about geotechnical engineering and want to share it with students. My research interests are slope instability assessments, pile-reinforced slopes, applications of machine learning in geotechnical engineering, and characterization of soil strength subjected to softening by applying statistical methods. If you are interested in an undergraduate research experience, please contact me by email.
