Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC), USACE, United States
Mark Jensen has worked at HEC for over 30 years and is one of the founding members of the HEC-RAS project and is now the technical lead of the HEC-RAS team. Mark developed the original graphical interface for HEC-RAS, developed floodplain mapping routines for stored inundation maps and the new approach of dynamic mapping used for model development. Mark developed the mesh generation and hydraulic property table pre-processing for the 2D flow computations. Mark developed the water quality computation capabilities in HEC-RAS and continues to collaborate with the ERCE-EL on its increasing capabilities. Mark has a B.S. and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
