Daniel J Williams is a physical scientist for the Water Infrastructure Division of the U.S. EPA’s Center for Environmental Solutions and Emergency Response Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since beginning work at EPA in 1998, Dan’s primary goal has been to research the quality of drinking water. Over the years he has investigated drinking water systems, focusing on small systems for source water ammonia, nitrate removal, lead and copper corrosion, microbial and arsenic removal. Over the past 6 years, he has focused on assessing and optimizing drinking water treatment systems for non-PRASA communities in Puerto Rico. Dan has fabricated numerous drinking water pilot systems and has a patent for his Portable Evaluation Pilot skid (PEPS). He holds a B.S. in environmental science from Northern Kentucky University.
