Sam Jamieson is a Principal Software Engineer at the Autodesk AEC-Innovyze team. He gained an MSc in physical geography, specializing in fluvial hydraulics and ice sheet modelling at Bristol University, UK (United Kingdom) in 2007, and has since worked in Flood Risk Modelling for the UK Environment Agency, before reading for a PhD in hydraulics (incomplete) at the University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with HR Wallingford. In 2014 he started working as a developer of hydraulic modelling software for XP Solutions, then Innovyze, then Autodesk. He specializes in meshing techniques and Finite Volume solutions for 1D and 2D flow analysis.
