Brian Bandy is a professional water resources engineer and currently serves as Arcadis national water resources planning and hydraulic design practice lead within the water management practice in the United Arcadis. His wide-ranging experience in water resources includes urban flood studies to develop solutions for more resilient communities and reduce flood risk, floodplain management, coastal and inland stormwater systems consisting of open channels, storm sewer pipe networks, detention facilities, flood control gates and weirs, and stormwater pump stations, FEMA floodplain/floodway modeling, multi-purpose river basin studies, water supply planning, real-time flood forecasting, reservoir modeling, lake studies, consumptive use permitting, hydrologic modeling and optimization of hydrologic systems to meet established flow regimes. Additionally, Mr. Bandy has dam and levee engineering experience including leading hydraulic design of dams, levees and floodwalls as well as leading dam safety projects including field inspections, emergency action plan development, and potential failure mode analyses.
